Auburn/Alabama Football

Last year Auburn had a nice year in football. They won the National Championship and really pissed off a lot of people....namely Bama fans. The bottom line is that Bama can not accept losing to anybody and especially Auburn. It is like a personal attack for Bama to lose OR win a weekend football game. A GAME folks. It really got ugly last year when the trees at Toomer's Corner were poisoned by a "pissoffed" Bama fan.... a tradition in Auburn that had survived for years for the student body and general fans of Auburn University. What is next? Maybe those two teams should not play each other. There are not enough mature people in the state to deal with it in a civilized manner.

Josh and Kimmie's For A Few Days

This week I am in Pratteville, Deatsville, Pine Level and Marbury Alabama. I can't figure out where I am really with all these names for virtually the same place. I am staying with Josh and Kimmie a few days. I love to come down here and fart around. I usually tidy up and wash clothes the first day I am here and then go into Pratteville shopping. Got a cool Penny's there I like. We go to eat at night when Kimmie gets home. Last night we went to Za Za's downtown in Montgomery. It is an Italian place. Josh gets up and does his thing in the mornings and heads out to do the radio show at 11:30. Then he has interviews and writing to do for the newspaper. This weekend he is going to Mississippi to cover the Bama ballgame. He is busy this time of the year. Kimmie works every day at AWF. They are both busy people. I bring my babies with me...Molly, Doodle and Newton....and along with Josh and Kimmie's dogs....Lily, Louie, Bo, and Oscar....it looks like a dog farm around here. Needless to say we are dog lovers. But they all get along, except for little bitty Molly and king sized Oscar. For some reason Molly has it in for Oscar. She tears into him like she was a big ole bear. Oscar is oblivious to her. Funny though, the way it looks. Well better get up and get my chores down so I can go shopping. Josh won't like it if I leave something undone. He is the sweetest thang....and Kimmie is precious.

Catching Up

Long time no see uh? I actually forgot about blogging. I need to remember to do this. Lots of things have happened over the past few months. First of all, summer flew by. Why is that? We are so busy enjoying every smothering day and night we lose track of time. There are so many more things to do in the summer. Just going to the backyard is an event. We went to the cabin almost every weekend. The boys came up more this year than in the past several years. Even Josh and Kimmie came and spent a night or two. We cooked, floated, rode on the jet ski and the pontoon. Good times. This coming summer, there are some more "projects" that will need doing.
We sort of took a break from all those chores this year.

Nancy and Hollis brought Mamaw Moon up a couple of times. Mamaw went out on the boat with us one afternoon and if that cloud had not come up, she might have had to get in the water and floated. It was hot. Hollis saved up lots of words of course and kept us all entertained.

We had Mamaw Moon's 90th birthday party this fall. It was in Centre Alabama at the Education Building. Lots of food and fun and lots of folks came out to wish her Happy Birthday. She is a very special person. Always has been...to me.

We have done lots of upkeep to the house this summer. Painted the outside, put down new flooring in the "Love Nest", got a new fireplace in the "Love Nest". The "Love Nest" needed a redo. Oh and got a new recliner for Booch.

I got a new doggy too. Newton. He is a Maltese. So sweet. Follows me every where I go all day long. Of course Molly and Doodle are still around and spoiled rotten. They all have on their little dresses and bows in the hair right now. It is getting cooler and I don't want them to get a chill.

Well this isn't my usual style of blog but I just wanted to keep a record of happenings. Before I forgot.
